The history of La Saboterie, gîte in Silenrieux
History of our former farmhouse turned group gîte in Silenrieux, Belgium
Historically known as the cense (farm) Triparis, In 1618, there was already a barn, a stable, an enclosure and a garden. No earlier dates are known for these buildings. The small building in the garden would once have been a shoe shop, Hence the name of the gîte.
Bought by the Dermine family in the second half of the 20th century, the farm lost its agricultural function and was divided into four small country houses. With the family, In 2014, we bought the property and undertook major renovation work, which has resulted in the following improvements creation of these two gîtes.
